2003 Harrington Elementary Science Fair has come and gone, but alas, after much effort and significant improvement over last year, my son was still only able to place 3rd. He was greatly disappointed, especially after he looked at the projects that one first and second places! Next year we'll we'll try to place 1st by evaluating our project against a science fair " rubric " such as this one published by the Los Angles County Department of Education .
